Overview
Our Elderberry Fruit Powder is a botanical ingredient derived from ripe Sambucus nigra L. berries, sourced from EU/GAP-certified organic farms in Europe and North America. Hand-harvested at peak ripeness, raw materials undergo strict pre-processing.
We use freeze-drying to preserve over 90% of bioactive compounds (vs. spray-drying), then grind into a fine, free-flowing powder (95% passing 80 mesh).
Standardized actives: total anthocyanins (10%–25%, HPLC), total polyphenols ≥30%, vitamin C ≥150 mg/100 g. Raw berries are pre-cooked to remove sambunigrin, supporting food safety.
Advantages: traceable supply chain, good phenolic bioaccessibility, and compatibility with vegan / gluten-free / organic formulations.
